Turbine Transition

As your helicopter piloting career progresses

You will learn that the majority of the commercial industry uses larger turbine powered aircraft to fulfill its needs, whether it be tours, utility, news, corporate or EMS work. Our turbine transition course is meticulously and comprehensively designed to give you both the knowledge level required to understand a turbine aircraft and the flight training needed to safely pilot the machine.

The course is designed to give you 5 hours of flight time in the aircraft as well as 5 hours of ground and done over a 2-3 day period. It will be taught in the Bell 206 BIII Jet Ranger, a venerable, capable and well known light turbine helicopter. During this time, you will learn about the following:

  • Aircraft Pre-flight and Post-flight

Flight

  • Start-up and Shutdown

  • Basic Maneuvers

  • Emergency Procedures

  • CRM and Situational Awareness

Any additional aircraft hours $1100 Per Hour
